The Poznań reception point for refugees from 21.03.22 is located in Hall on MTP Poznan Expo fairgrounds, at ul. Głogowska − in front of the Western Railway Station.

The point is run by the Provincial Office in Poznań in cooperation with Grupa MTP, the In_Spire Foundation, the Poznań City Hall and social organisations − Caritas Poznań and the Polish Scouting Association.

Earlier, from 28 February, the Reception Point at the Fair operated in the Eastern Hall. During this time, it has already handled over 12 thousand inhabitants of Ukraine.

− Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, over 2,100,000 refugees have crossed the Ukrainian-Polish border. A large stream of those who escaped from war, bombs and often death ended up in Wielkopolska − said Michał Zieliński, Wielkopolska Voivode during the inauguration of the point in its new location.

− Moving the reception point from the Eastern Hall to Hall No. 2 will significantly improve the comfort of service. The increased number of people using the point obliges us to increase the reception space, which will increase from two to almost five thousand square meters − summarised Filip Bittner, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa MTP.

As emphasised by the President of the Management Board of the In_Spire Foundation, Iwona Kasprzak − Refugees reporting at the Hall receive the first support. There is a registration desk, accommodation point, medical assistance, a buffet, as well as places to rest and play for children at the reception desk. Consultations with the authorities and the border service as well as legal advice are available here. Mobile phone operators have prepared free phone cards for refugees to enable contact with their families. The point is open 24 hours a day.
